Hi Guys
I was approached the other day when I was in Warriston Cemetery in Edinburgh by a guy looking for the graves of Ronald Egbert and Morag McArthur who were aged 5 and 7 when they were killed when a German bomber dropped "its load" on Crewe Place Edinburgh on 29th Sept 1940.
Their parents were Alexander McArthur, who died in 1967 and Margaret or Elizabeth McArthur who died in 1975. (He said Elizabeth, but CWGC have Margaret!)
He is looking for their graves as he is doing some research on them and so far hasn't had any luck finding where they were buried, so I said I would ask on this forum to see if any one might know the answer.
Here are the CWGC entry but it doesn't state cemetery.

Additional information: of 27 Crewe Place. Daughter of Alexander McIntyre McArthur and Margaret Ford Brown McArthur. Died at 27 Crewe Place.

Thankx in anticipation.

In certain parts of Warriston I think your hubby would need you for him to be safe...
Cheers

Hi Shona,
I don't think the place of burial of any Civilian Casualties are listed. (None that I've ever found anyway).
It would be a case of checking with the Cemetery Records in Edinburgh to see if they were definately buried in Warriston, and if so, they should be able to supply details of Sections/Lairs etc.
