During the Second World War a large contingent of Polish soldiers were stationed at Auchinleck and some died there and are buried in the cemetery. Do we want to record these as well?

I'm glad you asked that question Richard - I was thinkng along the same lines - not only Polish but other nationalities too.
I think no matter who it was, if they have a grave or a memorial in Scotland then they're to be included - but I stand to be corrected if this isn't the case.

Yes, we're covering the lot. Be it Scottish, Irish, Welsh, Australian, Canadian, Indian, German...even English (joke!) if they're buried in Scotland we aim to record them.
Something that I don't think many other War Graves projects aims to do. |

Any gravestone in Scotland with a military, naval, or air force connection (however slight) is covered by this project. This covers the world wars and any conflicts before or since. It doesn't cover Scottish servicemen buried outside Scotland though.
