There are certainly odd / conflicting statements being made on various sites. Even the reported casualty / survivor numbers they give do not add up.
The discussion centred on Thomas Gordon, RFA Hughli and 26th April 1919.
It appears she was involved in an incident that day, likely due to a sea mine and in consequence Gordon is commemorated at Portsmouth.
This would not have happened had he died due to the consequences of a storm alone. _________________ Jim
