Additional Information: Brother of John Coulter, of 12, Queen St., Govan, Glasgow.
The lad commemorated here is Reg number 13328 Royal Scots.
My Notes give :- Apprentice Brass finisher with Shanks Sanitary works, He resided with Mrs Patrick McCartney at 9 George street Barrhead, Joined up 23rd Aug 1914 formally employed with Messer's Saunders and Conner's Barrhead. The Barrhead News reported:- Killed in Action 27th Sept 1915, Previously reported missing Pte James Coulter Royal Scots, Formally of 9 George street Barrhead, "RIP" inserted by his Grand mother Mrs McCarthy 9 George Street.
