Hi There,

My name is Simon, & my ties with Scotland come through my G'grandfather Duncan McLachlan MacGregor who migrated to the colony of NSW in 1868 or there abouts.

I am in my late 40's, married with 3 bairns & work in the field of Aviation Security where I am a Day of Operations Manager at Sydney Airport.

I found this site through the British Medal Forum of which I am a member & thought that some of the pics I have may be of interest to members here.

My main interests are in the area of collecting Casualty medal groups to those who served in the Far East in WW2, those who died as a result of incarceration by the Japanese & the Battle of Kohima.

To further my interest, last November, I embarked upon a project of photographing all war graves of the CWGC in the Far East. I thus far visited Kuala Lumpur & Jakarta where I attended the Rememberece Day service & hope to visit the North East Frontier of India, & some of the more difficult cemetaries this year.

I am more than happy to provide members with pics of any grave they may be interested in from locations visited thus far.

Best regards

simon

Hi Simon

Welcome to the forum. Have you also seen our 'sister' forum http://warmemscot.s4.bizhat.com/? There is a section there for war memorials outside of Scotland (for Scots and Scottish Regiments of course) and you may come across some of those in your travels.

If you happen to have photos of any Army Pay Corps, Army Pay Department or Royal Army Pay Corps graves then I would be very grateful for them towards a future project.

\Paul
