Hello
I am mainly interested in WW2 Airborne Forces from inception in 1940, and apart from the normal units such as Parachute Regiment, Glider Pilot Regiment and SAS, I am also interested in those supporting units such as Artillery, Engineers, Service Corps etc, and also those RAF/RAFVR personnel who instructed them in the practices of parachuting or flying.
My interest styarted with the Battle of Arnhem and then grew, I have a good library of books on the subjects(wife would say far too many!) and also have copies of most of the medal citations from the PRO/TNA.
I am also trying to obtain pictures of the headstones/memorials of every WW2 Airborne personnel casualty, and last year visited over 25 cemeteries/churchyards to obtain the Arnhem casualties. I am hoping to return next year and get the same from the Rhine Crossing.
Thats just a short intoruction to me, I also have to work!! but not for too much longer if I play it right

Welcome Andy, are you familiar with the Airborne Forces museum which is part of Dumfries and Galloway aviation museum at Dumfries? I have a few photos somewhere but did not take a comprehensive set.
