Derek photographed a headstone in Canonbie cemetery. I think these are the CWGC details of the man named but his wife is listed on his CEF attestation paper as Jeannie Irving of Winnipeg (1914) and then of Dundee on the CWGC database (1922)

Could the headstone name his first wife?

If you look further up on the inscription . . . . . .
CATHERINE STORY CALVERT wife of John Irving died at Galashiels 3rd June 1900 age 31 years (making her date of birth c1869), so I would think Jeannie would be his second wife.

Thanks Anne. I knew you or Paul would come up trumps.
I’ll update the Canonbie topic.
