In loving memory of Thomas Scott, Farmer Bonnyton born February 18th 1852 died May 17th 1920, also his wife Mary Alexandrina Ballantine who died 18th February 1922 aged 57 also their eldest son Major General Thomas Scott C.B Indian Army born February 20th 1897 died November 26th 1968. "He gave great service and was beloved by all" and Enid his wife who loved him beyond all died August 14th 1976, also Peggy daughter of Thomas and Mary Scott who died October 23rd 1987 aged 82. |

Maryton Church is now a private residence. The churchyard is at the side and behind the house. The entrance for the churchyard is through the main gate to the house, then veering to the right.
There are two War Memorials outside the gate, a civic one and a school one.
You can just see Montrose Basin through the trees in the bottom photograph. |
