Ken and Adam, this could be a solution, I will dive in to this.
Surrely a mistake could take part with all these graves they had to list.

There is also a grave in our region of who the relatives didn´t know where it was. It was undiscovered by the relatives for more than 50 years! And the strangest thing was that it had a CWGC stone all the time, if this is possible than a age mistake could be possible too.

I searched today on this 1913 born Kenneth B, nothing found.
Alcock is also a common name I think in the UK, it has 1.2 million hits on Google! Contacting possible relatives just by name will pretty useless I think.
Are there people who did this on this kind of way with other casualties?

I have been looking at the FreeBMD again and IF this is your man????

ROBERT ALCOCK married CAROLINE SAXELBY in July-September 1903 in Sheffield.
From 1903 to 1920 there were about 40 births with the name Alcock in the Ecclesall Bierlow registration district. A common name in that part of the world!!!
One stands out - ROBERT SAXELBY ALCOCK born October-December 1907. So Kenneth had at least one brother.

Both Caroline and Robert (age 3) appear on the 1911 census but there is a fee for viewing the details.

Today I talked to a historian in my home town ('s-Hertogenbosch, Holland). He told me that he knew a thing about Alcock. It isn't much but now I know that he is killed in action not far from were he is burried. It happened during the liberation of the village Oud-Empel (were he is burried). It was a 15 minutes during grenade fire of the Scotts that conquered the village, in this fight Alcock was killed. Probably his body was in a place that was hard to reach or still under fire from the other side of the river Maas. For that reason his body decomposed and that's why is burried at this location. All other liberators of this region are burried in Uden on a war cemetery.

It's a start, now we need more about the person too.

Hi Ken,

I searched a lot on this name Robert Saxelby, it has alot of hits. All of them are from the cambridge Biochemical Labaratory. Cambridge isn't near Sheffield but that doesn't have to mean something.
I think this man died also or will be in the 80's.
I didn't bring me any further yet but i'm searching
