Thanks to Stephanie Lawton who kindly contacted us with extra information about Flying Officer Derry Rigby. A memorial bridge in the Langstrath Valley, Borrowdale, Cumbria was erected in memory of him by his parents and reported in the local newspaper. In the newspaper his parents address is given as Croston Towers, Cheshire. I've also found him commemorated on a Trafford web page under the Altrincham war dead: http://www.traffordwardead.co.uk/index.php?sold_id=s%3A18%3A%22169%2Caltrincham_ww2%22%3B&letter=&place=altrincham&war=&soldier=Rigby
The photographs of the article and the memorial bridge have very kindly been provided by Stephanie
